Sleepless Nights Tour with Review, Promo, Giveaway and Excerpt

Title: Sleepless Nights (Wrath MC #1)
Author: Amanda Heath
Release Date: August 13. 2014
Blurb ~
I’ve been living two lives for the past seven years.
One with Victor and the other with Damien.

Victor I’ve known all my life. When his parents died he even came to live with my family and I. I was so in love with him. It wasn’t until years into our relationship I started to see the faults in him. Then he went off to Iraq.

Damien was the bad boy biker at our high school. Even while I was with Victor, I couldn’t keep my eyes off of him. Then I got on the back of his bike and I thought I finally found my home. Then Victor came back wounded.
That was all five years ago and now those two lives and my two loves are starting to converge. I don’t know who I am anymore and I don’t know who I want to be with. Though these two guys won’t let me be single for long.

But one of them has gotten me into a lot of trouble with the mob. And now it’s up to the other one to save me. And before you roll your eyes, that statement isn’t what you think. You’ll be surprised who the bad guy really is.

I promise to find my happily ever after, even if it’s at the Wrath MC clubhouse in the arms of an alpha biker or in the high society world where I was born and in the arms of my ex-army man.

“God you feel so fuckin’ good,” I mutter as my hands go down to remove her shirt. Or should I say my shirt. Her tits bounce as I move her backwards once I drop the shirt to the ground.
I don’t waste time as I lay her back on our bed; I push the cup of her bra down and suck a nipple into my mouth. Ashley arches her back and groans out my name. I push my hand into her pants and since she’s not wearin’ underwear, my hand meets hot, wet skin. “Fuckin’ wet for me already,” I growl out, lovin’ how turned on she is with just a few kisses. “Gonna fuck this tight, wet pussy.”
“Fuck…” she trails off as I pump two fingers into her and use my thumb to circle around her clit. When she’s on the edge of comin’, I remove my hand and pull her jeans off. As I stand I take my own off and remove my shirt.
Once I’m naked I climb back over her on the bed and thrust my cock into her. My favorite part, even back in the day, is when her eyes get all wide at my size. A man could get real arrogant fuckin’ Ashley. “You like this big cock fuckin’ you?” I whisper against her ear as I slowly pump my hips into her.
“You know I do,” she whimpers as I start to pick up my pace.
“Best pussy I ever had. Swear to God.” I don’t know what it is about her but I can’t stop talkin’ like a dirty freak when we fuck. I think it’s cuz she always looks surprised and it makes her wetter.
Her hands are everywhere. In my hair, down my neck, over my shoulders and her nails diggin’ into my ass as she urges me on. I stare down at her, as I do every time, because it’s so fuckin’ beautiful when she gets off. I might have started callin’ her Glossy because of what she was doin’ when I first saw her, but I have other reasons for keepin’ it. Like how her eyes get that way right before she comes. Or how my cock looks after I pull it out of her.
I’m not picky though.

Sleepless Nights was one of the best MC novels I’ve read and for only 99 cents, this book is a steal. When it comes to a badass biker and their clubs it’s win or lose for me and very early on I could tell I was going to be pleased. This book can be read as a stand-alone as it is the start of a new series but there are character cross-overs from previous books so if you want more from an author who can actually write an MC book than I'd say give them a shot. However, this is the only book from this author I've read so feel free to give them a shot and let me know.

The story’s heroine Ashley may look like the perfect, primped rich girl she portrays but then again we all know better than to judge a book by its cover. Ashley’s childhood was anything but normal, especially when her mother takes in two additional kids Victor and Annabelle. Throw in her overprotective younger brothers and Ashley can’t seem to find a minute of privacy to save her life. Then again she never expected to become BFF’s with Victor or for that friendship to turn into more.

Over the years Victor and Ashley continue their relationship and in Ashley’s case she thinks all is well. Until Victor informs her he is enlisting with his best friend, the same best friend he is always with, the one who appears to be more important to Victor than she is. At this point the pair are in their senior year of high school and the last thing Ashley wants to do is be with a man who can’t appreciate her. Though she doe4sn’t want to be ‘that girl’, the one sending her BF a Dear John letter, once she meets the son of the Wrath MC President, nothing much matters than spreading her wings.

Ashley blows Damien out of the water with all the preconceived notions he had about her, he never expected someone so witty and brave. In fact the way she doesn’t cower in his presence is nothing but a turn on to him. They really complement each other well and with the dual POV’s we get to see what a deep and thoughtful man Damien really is, sure he’s hardened in the life, but he’s faithful, possessive and deliciously sexually controlling. YUM!

The timeline was a bit wonky for me. The book starts in the present day when Ashley hasn’t seen Damien in five years or Victor for two. When a fellow member of the MC comes to steal Ashley away for her protection we are finally taken back in time to see how it all began with both Victor and Damien. Chapters later and we are once again on track only now we know why the animosity and long time separations between Ashley and Damien. At this point I was mildly pissed at Damien. I think he behaved irrationally and whined like a child and let the world go on without fighting for what he wanted. Very disappointing, especially when it takes so long for them to reconnect.

Let me be clear that this is not a love triangle and it is certainly not a menagerie. At differencing points in the book Ashley is with either character and for that time in her life it works out for her. As far as plotline, I enjoyed the tension but the naiveté of Ashley often had me grinding my teeth. Though I do give her credit for being so ballsy and not scared for her life, even when facing the murderous rage of pissed biker.

Overall I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to continue the series. We meet the characters from the next book and it does seem like their timeline will be all over the place as it was in Sleepless Nights. MC books are becoming overly popular and many are just bad, plain and simple. Sleepless Nights worked with an original storyline and focused more on the relationship between the characters and all the secrets than it did on the club. I could have used a bit more insight into the club especially when we were in Damien’s POV but alas the book was overall pleasing and I would highly recommend it if you’re looking for another alpha biker to drool over.

I live in southern Arkansas with my husband and young daughter. There is also an insane Boston Terrier running around. I've always been a lone wolf and find my friends in books. I started writing at a young age and I haven't stopped since. Most days you can find me either glued to my laptop or my kindle. My first novel, This Beautiful Thing was an Amazon best seller for 11 weeks and a year later I'm still tickled to see people enjoy it. I may not be a huge seller but I have the best fans ever and I thank God everyday for every single one of them.
