Tempt (Take it Off #3)
by:Cambria Hebert
4 Stars ★★★★
Blurb ~ Stranded and alone with not one, but two wickedly enticing men.
Ava arrives at the airport, expecting to board a commercial flight to Puerto Rico. But a plane ticket isn’t waiting for her. Instead, she finds a guy with dark curly hair wearing seriously ratty jeans and holding a sign with her name on it.
He may not look like a pilot, but he is. And he’s her ride.
So now it’s just Nash and her on a tiny tin can of a plane flying over the Atlantic. When a thunderstorm comes out of nowhere, it proves to be too much for the little aircraft.
Ava and Nash plunge from the sky and end up on an uncharted deserted island.
Stranded.
As if that isn’t bad enough, Ava starts to desire more than just rescue—hunger for more than food. Nash is only too happy to oblige… but it seems they might not be as alone as they thought.
And Nash might have some competition in claiming Ava’s body… and her heart.
My Review
The last thing Ava expects when
traveling with her grandmother’s ashes is for her plane to crash. Not to
mention Ava’s pilot is out of this world hot and nothing like she expected. In
fact Ava expected more than a tiny sardine-can resembling plane, so she’s not
too shocked when they go down even if she is shocked and scared out of her
mind.
Somehow Nash and Ava survive the crash.
Finding themselves stranded on an island isn’t too horrible considering
together they are able to create a island oasis for themselves. The two explore
the island and are shocked when they come across another person living on the
island. Only for them they don’t know how long he’s been there or really how
he’s even survived so long.
Even worse for Nash is when this
newcomer is showing feelings for Ava. Feelings she is none to shyly
reciprocating.
The three struggle to survive together
on the island, finding shelter, food and clean water. What Nash and Ava never
expect is for their newfound friend to be hiding a secret.
As with the other books in the series,
Tempt is not short on suspense and intrigue. As soon Ava and Nash crash, their
worlds are turned upside down. Together they have the power to stay alive, even
if they have to fight to the bitter end to do so.
Overall another hit for Cambria Hebert.
Not to mention there is nothing more romantic than being stranded on an island
with a hot capable guy. Given no one dies of course… I really loved this
storyline and characters. The plot was not something that is typically done but
I enjoyed every bit from start to finish. I would certainly recommend to fans
of NA, this series or a quick and fun read.
