Blurb ~ Wyatt Conner is a hard man. A sixth generation sheriff in his hometown of Garnet. A former MMA fighter. His life is about following the rules and making sure everyone else in Garnet follows them too.

Before life hurt him, Wyatt was different. Love had once blinded him to his upbringing and made him defiant against anyone who tried to separate him from the girl he loved. He easily broke laws to ensure her safety.

When she left it destroyed him.

Now she's back.

Tabitha knew coming home was a mistake, but family obligation demanded it. She wasn’t expecting to run smack into the love of her life the same day she returned.

Despite the danger, Tabitha is powerless against the wild rush of desire that explodes between them the moment she finds herself in Wyatt’s arms again. She needs a second chance too, but she can't risk Wyatt finally discovering the real reason she left.

Even for another taste of true love.

Tabitha knows her haunted past will destroy both of them if Wyatt finds out. What she suffered through was too terrible and it's the one thing that will have him crossing the line for revenge.

Crossing the Line is by far, my favorite book of the series. I fell in love with Wyatt early on in Battered Hearts. Then, all we saw was the burly Sheriff friend of Clay. Seeing what’s inside of Wyatt was both thrilling and heartbreaking, as the poor thing has been suffering for far too long.
Wyatt once harbored the world’s biggest crush on Tabitha. At the time she was close friends with Clay as  their crappy home lives bonded them in ways people that young should never experience. Coming from a police family Wyatt was never top choice for a friend from either Clay or Tabitha. Yet nothing stops young love. And for years Wyatt spoils his girl.
When the time is right the two have an explosive relationship, short-lived that it is. Something happens to make Tabitha run, not from Wyatt but to protect him. He deserves better than her, doesn’t he? Wyatt never gives up on his girl. Even when she thinks she’s in hiding he always knows. Her sick mother brings Tabitha home and wanting to not see Wyatt brings fate knocking on her door and he’s there as always to save the day.

Through flashbacks we get to witness the relationship really start and I loved that part. In fact it’s like part of the book is YA only since they are so young but it was all so beautiful and romantic you couldn’t help but get sucked in. Tabitha and Wyatt are a power couple, soul-mates whatever you want to call it. I loved their story so much and couldn’t believe how devoted Wyatt was and stayed to her. I mean nine years. Wow. You can’t help but feel for Tabitha and root for her and Wyatt at every turn. The universe is trying to pull them together and outside forces are doing the opposite. Distance and time may have separated them but one look and the passion is off the charts and they can’t resist one another. The only thing that disappointed me in the story was Clay. I felt so betrayed by him on Tabitha’s behalf. I fell in love with him in Defying the Odds but I felt his dismissal and accusations were too much coming from him. In the end its okay because I think Wyatt forever won my heart anyway.

Overall this book was pure GOLD. I loved everything about it. From the start as you watch these two young kids grow and develop feelings for one another and experience love for the first time was truly remarkable. Better than both books in the series I loved Wyatt and Tabitha’s story and know this will definitely be a re-read for me. If you’ve read the first two books in the series, forget em’, they don’t have anything on Crossing the Line. This is most certainly a recommendation I would make to fans of NA and romance novels in general. Absolutely thrilling and I still have a smile on my face.
