Cillian O’Braidagh is the sexy, front man to the Irish rock band, Over The Edge. His rising fame and sultry voice make him every woman’s fantasy come true. Not to mention his single-minded determination. To put it simply: what Cillian wants, Cillian always gets. And he wants Renner, because there’s just something about the flame-haired beauty he has to possess.

If their relationship was just about sex and rock n’ roll, it would be easy for them to get lost in their desires. Only their relationship is anything but a hook-up. Will lies, deceit and hidden tragedy get in the way, making the path to true love uncertain? Or will the girl whose been knocked Off Course, find her footing with the man who is teaching her it’s okay to lose control?

I’ve loved Ireland for years. The stories my mother would tell often featrued strangers offering to help her find good Craic and her totally misunderstanding as Craic means only ‘a good time or fun’ in Ireland and not the illegal narcotic like in America. The lush green grass, rolling hills, and herds of sheep wandering the middle of the road always held a special place in my heart, not to mention the lack of snakes on the island. All that matters little now, thanks to Cillian O’Braidagh who can melt your panties off with a single look, and sing a song, with his rough Irish brogue, that will leave you breathless. As a continuation of Sawyer Bennett’s Off Series, Cillian certainly makes the cut, following in the footsteps previous male leads Ryan, Linc and Nix.

Off Course Cillian is the Best Craic Around!!

The story starts off with a captivating Prologue. I was sucked right in as the characters first meet, five years earlier, and literally eye Fu*k the crap out of each other. Though it is not there to be together yet, Renner eventually grows up and learns the hard way that love can sometimes turn around and bite you in the rear. Embarrassed and confused about her future, Renner runs from the states overseas to Ireland where she works at her uncle’s pub The Hibernian. Of course when she least expects it, Renner has a run in from the past, now more famous, tatted and pierced than when they met five years earlier.

I was sucked in to this story like Alice down the rabbit hole. Even though, I found myself strongly disliking Cillian through forty percent of the book. It had nothing to do with his dark looks, enchanting voice or the vapor cloud of sex appeal that followed him everywhere he went. It was his overly cocky attitude that was a bit of a turn off. Sure he goes after Renner in some stalkerish/adorable ways but he’s always thinking of her in his head as a sure thing, something to work out of his system. He basically tells her this, big No-No. Aside from seeing this personality trait far too often in books lately I couldn’t overlook his total douche-ness, especially not when his slutty, psycho bandmate is hanging on the sidelines and he’s too dumb to see the obvious.

I can certainly say this book has strengthened my love and appreciation for accents. I mean what’s hotter than a guy whose voice alone can make you shiver. This book will have you wishing for your own Cillian, even if it’s just a simple recording of his voice so you can keep hitting repeat. Lord only knows how all the groupies managed to keep their panties on as long as they did. It’s no wonder they all drink so much, to numb the senses and dilute the reality of soooo much hotness.

There were some great side characters in Off Course such as Cady, Renner’s cousin and her Uncle Keefe. Cady was a great shoulder and partner in crime for Renner. Cady was a real force in getting her over her past and her somewhat unrealistic ideals about what her future should be. Cady is one of those characters you wish you could have as a friend in real life. She can drink anyone under the table but when the time comes, she will always have your back no matter what. And Uncle Keefe, what a great guy, with an equally awesome pub. I wish we could have seen more of him and heard more of his stories    but there’s always hope for all the characters we know and love to returning the final book in the series, featuring Renner’s brother Flynn.

Envisioning a real-life Cillian can cause heart palpitations so you’ve been warned. Somewhere along the way I was ensconced in another world, as if I too was overseas in the midst of a passionate affair. Cillian will leave you craving a tall glass of Guinness, too, just to cool off your overheated system. The dual POV’s allow you to see into both Renner and Cillian so understanding where he is coming from is a lot easier to comprehend. Both Cillian and Renner have been so centrally focused that branching out on each other is just what the Dr. ordered. All Off Series fans will eat Cillian up and not leave  a single crumb .I would definitely recommend this book and I am proud to name Cillian my current book boyfriend.
ROCK ON!!!
