An imperfect heroine plagued by bad choices and haunted by the memory of her deceased mother and grandparents, readers are sure to identify with Laurel as she navigates teen pregnancy, in secret, in a remote college setting.

So I was given Freshman Forty by the author to review and finally got around to it. I must admit I'm a sucker for a pregnancy story and really enjoyed Freshman Forty. Laurel is a eighteen-year old freshman with a hard year ahead of her and many tough decisions to make.

Chloe has finished her masters degree and taken a job as a forensic scientist back in her home town of Albuquerque, New Mexico, only the press will not leave her alone. They follow her to crime scenes and report on her every move, eager to show that her marriage to Hollywood A-lister, Jason Vanderholt, is on the brink of collapse. Millions of fans who dream of their own celebrity romance with him want this more than anything. This scrutiny comes at a particularly bad time as Chloe's first case is a crime against a child roughly the same age that Chloe was when she survived a homicide attempt.

Now that she sees the case from an adult's perspective, she realizes it's much harder than she ever dreamed. It's even worse for Jason, who is two steps removed from the crime. He must watch and try to support his wife as she battles with past demons and tries to keep up with a nameless suspect who evades identification and capture. Never has Jason been more frustrated with his job, its frivolities, and its lack of connection to the real world. When he storms off the set of his latest movie, the press goes wild with conjecture. Perhaps he never was anything more than a pretty face after all.

Together, Chloe and Jason must find their way past all the popping flashbulbs and through the dark maze of the criminal investigation to discover whether they can balance their professional goals with the demands of a celebrity marriage. The odds are entirely against them.

I'm not going to lie, I was beyond disappointed with Nobody's Damsel. There was so much buildup and plot points happening and then before you know it, you turn the page and THE END is staring you in the face, without the majority of the issues being solved.

Off Sides Review

Particularly when others are against them every step of the way. A lot can happen in just ten short days...

Sometimes you get lucky and find a great Free read on Amazon. Off Sides was way better than expected and was a great lazy Sunday afternoon read and did I mention it was FREE. 

Aside from the Awesomeness of it being free, Off Sides was a great book with a great storyline and great characters.

Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.
Some things should never be kept quiet…

Wait for You was a good read and a heart-warming romance but it didn't meet my expectations. I found it to be a tad predictable and that killed parts of it for me. It was typical in following the New Adult plot points and didn't veer off on it's own too much. That being said it wasn't challenging enough, for me as a reader or for the characters. I was behind Avery 100% and then about 1/3 of the way into the book she just started pissing me off.

Sever Review

So finally my wait for Sever came to an end. Soon as the release day came, I was hounding my co-workers at the library to get it to me. Within a few days my dreams came true and I finished it the same day. I cannot even explain in words how excited I was to read this book. Finally we get the end of Rhine's journey and this book is even more captivating than the rest. The prior two books, though a lot happens, they seem to be slower pace and not as dramatic. Sever breaches these gaps and takes everything we've learned in books one and two to the limit. Vaughn is eviler than ever, Rowan's extracurricular activities come with a shocking twist, Cecily continues to age far beyond her years, Gabriel is still MIA and Linden has to come to terms with both his father's nefarious ways and Rhine's choice to leave.

SO I was randomly browsing around NetGalley and a new image for The Eternity Cure came up. Don't know if this is confirmed is the confirmed cover or not. There are a bunch of rumors out there so just thought I'd share what I found. Could just be the Australian cover, but with so much controversy it's cool to see all the different covers.

So I felt severely let down with this book. If I'm being honest I'm almost embarrassed to say I had requested it at the library and now I feel bad they wasted the money. There are so many other books I could have read instead!!!
